Seamus Doherty - European Trade Mark Attorney
Seamus has been working in the field of Intellectual Property for nearly thirty years now. He joined Cruickshank from another firm of Intellectual Property Attorneys in 2007 and has a specific responsibility for developing new business relationships within the practice.
He specialises in a range of trade mark matters, including brand clearance and portfolio strategy, and has broad experience in prosecution and contentious matters, including oppositions and revocation proceedings at the Irish Patents Office and the European Trade Mark office (OHIM). His primary role with Cruickshank is dealing with and advising on the Trade Mark Portfolios held by clients of the practice. He also specialises in domain name protection and retrieval.
Seamus is an active member of Dublin Chamber of Commerce where he serves as a membership ambassador. He is also an overseas member of ITMA and a member of ECTA where he serves on the Internet and Domain Name Committee. A committed member to the Association of Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys in Ireland he also serves on the Trade Mark Law and Practice committee.
Qualifications: Diploma in Legal Studies, Dublin Institute of Technolgy; European Trade Mark Attorney; Irish Registered Trade Mark Agent.
