Staff Profiles
Sarah joined the Cruickshank team in 2003, coming from a background as a hardware design engineer. She holds a BE (Hons) in Electronic Engineering
from University College Dublin and a Masters in Telecommunications Engineering from Dublin City University. In her time with the company she has assisted in the preparation and prosecution of many patent applications in different fields, including mechanical engineering, telecommunications and electronic and software engineering and encompassing technologies such as hydraulic systems, forklift trucks, power systems, monitoring and control systems, encryption, network management, along with a wide variety of distributed computer systems.
As well as being a qualified European Patent Attorney, Sarah is also a qualified Irish and European Trade Mark Attorney and Community Design Attorney. She advises many of Cruickshank’s new clients on their IP options and also has experience of infringement matters and opposition at the European Patent Office.
When she is not at her desk, Sarah is a keen sailor who enjoys racing every week in Dublin Bay. She is also a supporter of Munster and Irish rugby.
